In other words, an external ESG reviewer is responsible for assessing whether sustainable finance regulations, such as green, social or sustainability bonds, comply with international standards, including the Green Bond Principles (GBP) and Social Bond Principles (SBP) established by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA).
