To ensure that the financial statements provide a true and fair view of the federations\u2019 assets and financial position<\/strong>, the 65 National Sports Federations undergo an annual audit as required by law by the Higher Sports Council (CSD)<\/a>. The audit also verifies compliance with the adaptation of the General Accounting Plan (PGC) to the sports federations and the budget settlement rules imposed by the CSD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Auditors from the 65 Sports Federations<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since 2019, the CSD has appointed PKF Attest as auditor of these federations<\/strong>. The most recent award was made in December 2024 and covers the financial statements for 2024, 2025 and 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the operational and budgetary diversity of each federation, the CSD required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Conduct annual financial audits<\/strong> to verify the assets and financial status of the 65 sports federations. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

2. Oversee compliance with and adaptation of the General Accounting Plan (PGC)<\/strong> by the sports federations.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

3. Verify compliance with the rules established by the CSD itself to ensure rigorous oversight of the grants and public funds allocated.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

4. Coordinate and carry out a high volume of simultaneous audits within strict regulatory<\/strong> deadlines.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Project development by the Public Sector Audit and Verification Department<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To address this nationwide requirement, we assigned the project entirely to our Public Sector Audit and Verification Department, which specializes in the public sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They designed and implemented an audit strategy structured around four key areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial Audit <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Substantive testing and a thorough analytical review of the financial statements of the 65 federations are conducted to verify that they accurately reflect their financial and economic status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verification of Regulatory Compliance and Adapted General Accounting Plan (PGC) <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We conduct a technical and specialized assessment of the proper application of the General Accounting Plan (PGC) as adapted for sports federations, ensuring the uniformity and comparability of accounting information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Budget Settlement Audit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The budget audit department is conducting a methodological review of compliance with the CSD’s settlement instructions to ensure the proper allocation and traceability of public funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unified operational management and direct communication<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This entire process was coordinated through the assignment of a specialized technical team from PKF Attest , led by senior auditors responsible for direct communication with both the CSD and the financial officers of the federations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
