In 2026, small and medium-sized enterprises in Spain will have access to numerous calls for aid and subsidies for SMEs to boost their digital transformation.
From the implementation of technological solutions to artificial intelligence strategies, we review the main subsidies available by autonomous communities and at the national level.

👍🏼Eligible Recipients: SMEs with specific CNAES codes that invest more than €30,000 in tangible and intangible assets, such as the acquisition and processing of software, excluding software consisting of operating system licenses or office automation applications.
💸 The subsidy percentage will depend on meeting additional criteria and may range from 30% to 40% as a non-repayable grant.
⏳ Until the call for applications closes (open-ended)
⏳ Funding period: A maximum of twelve months starting from the day following notification of the grant decision.
👍🏼Beneficiaries: SMEs with a place of business in Castilla-La Mancha seeking support for the digitalization of SMEs through the implementation of e-commerce-related services, with the aim of strategically positioning them in the online market or improving their market position.
💻 Eligible projects:
Design and implementation of an e-commerce store. Eligible action aimed at creating an online store
Big data applied to e-commerce
Digital marketing. Actions or strategies carried out on internet media and channels related to the sale of products or services in the course of the professional or business activity for which the grant is requested.
E-commerce web portals (Marketplaces)
Digital image enhancement, etc.
💻 Eligible expenses:

💸 The aid intensity will be 70% of eligible expenses, with a maximum grant of €15,000 per application.
DIGITALIZATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN SMES (Castile and León)
⏳ Applications accepted until a new call for proposals replaces the current one.
👍🏼 Eligible entities: SMEs with a place of business in Castile and León.
The following are not eligible:
Jointly owned property entities, public enterprises, and civil partnerships, as well as associations, foundations, public administrations, and, in general, non-profit organizations.
Companies with CANE codes: 2611, 2612, 2620, 2630, 2640, 2680, 4641, 4652, 5821, 5829, 6110, 6120, 6130, 6190, 6201, 6202, 6203, 6209, 6311, 6312, 9511, and 9512.
📆 Eligible period: starting December 3, 2024, for a maximum of 18 months from the application date.
💻 Eligible projects:
Individual digitization projects: Aimed at SMEs that decide to take on the challenge of digitization, with the option to define their digitization path with the help of an expert and, furthermore, to digitize one or more of their processes. Minimum eligible budget of €2,000 and maximum of €20,000.
Individual or collaborative projects for advanced digital transformation: Intended for SMEs with a higher level of digitalization that aim to either use advanced digital technologies for some of their processes or undertake a more ambitious digital transformation process. Minimum budget of €20,000 and maximums of:
€50,000 for companies with fewer than 10 employees
€100,000 for companies with between 10 and 50 employees
€200,000 for companies with more than 50 and fewer than 250 employees.
💸 The grant percentage will range from 55% to 75% of eligible expenses.
⏳ Applications: Until funds are exhausted.
👍🏼 Eligible Recipients: SMEs for customized development projects that drive innovation within the company.
📆 Work may only begin and invoices may only be issued once the applicant company has been approved as a beneficiary: this process typically takes several months
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION, COMPETITIVENESS. INTECA 2026 (Valencia Region)
Applications accepted from April 29 to May 13, 2026.
Purpose: implementation of technological, sustainable, social, and smart innovation projects that promote the integration of digital enabling technologies in SMEs.
Funding period: from January 1, 2026, to April 24, 2026 –> the project must be paid for by that date.
EligibleRecipients: SMEs with their registered office or production facility in the Valencian Community
Eligible Activities:
Cybersecurity: Investments in software and hardware to protect infrastructure; implementation of security management systems.
Cloud Computing: Migration of data and systems to the cloud; contracting of data storage and management services.
Digitization and automation: Implementation of ERP/CRM solutions, automation of production and administrative processes; integration of blockchain into processes.
Industry 4.0: Adoption of IoT technologies, data analytics, artificial intelligence, 5G and advanced connectivity, robotics, agent design, and machine learning for process optimization.
E-commerce and digital marketing: Development or improvement of e-commerce platforms, integration of behavioral analytics tools and digital marketing strategies, as well as process automation.
Aid intensity: 70% ofthe eligible budget, up to a maximum of €100,000
⏳ Applications: until August 13, 2026
📑 Objective: to improve productivity and competitiveness through the application of knowledge and new technologies in the business and commercial sectors.
⏳ Funding period: from the date of approval, maximum of 12 months.
👍🏼 Beneficiaries: SMEs with a production facility in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, regardless of their legal form, including self-employed individuals, that intend to improve the productivity and competitiveness of their production facility.
💻 Eligible projects:
ERP / CRM / website / online store / B2B
💸 Aid intensity: 80% with a maximum of €20,000
🤝 Compatibility with other aid: incompatible.
⏳ Applications: until December 31, 2026
📑 Purpose: to support investments in fixed assets within the Autonomous Community of Extremadura that contribute to industrial development and improved competitiveness.
⏳ Funding period: from the application date up to a maximum of 2 years from the decision.
👍🏼 Beneficiaries: Companies, especially SMEs planning to make an investment in Extremadura.
💻 Eligible projects:
Line: Promotion of business digitization or the Industry 4.0 initiative:
Advanced management systems: ERP / CRM / BI (consult for other projects)
Prior consulting must be completed, and the project to be implemented must stem from it.
💸 Aid intensity:
50% for small businesses
40% for medium-sized businesses
30% for large businesses
🤝 Compatibility with other aid: consult the source of the aid, funds used, and amounts
⏳ Applications: until July 27, 2026
📑 Purpose: to finance business projects: To improve production processes, to implement and certify management standards and systems, and for advanced technological tools
⏳ Funding period: from the date of approval, maximum of 12 months.
👍🏼 Eligible recipients: SMEs and self-employed individuals with a production facility in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura in the following sectors: agri-food, crafts, construction, energy, industry, mining, services, tourism, commerce, culture, and communication.
💻 Eligible projects:
line 3: implementation of advanced technological solutions
Advanced systems that optimize supply chain management, production control, data, planning, and/or product lifecycle, production data acquisition, machine data collection, as well as human resources, warehouse, and logistics management ➡️ Excluded: ERP and CRM

💸 Aid intensity: 80% with a maximum of €25,000 (if number of employees > 20)
🤝 Compatibility with other aid: incompatible
⏳ Applications: until November 2, 2026
📑 Purpose: to support projects based on the use of Artificial Intelligence services and solutions
⏳ Funding period: January 1, 2026, and within the maximum project implementation period, which may not exceed 12 months.
👍🏼 Beneficiaries: industrial companies and related service companies linked to industry, of any size, with their center of activity in the Basque Country. Excluded are companies operating in the agricultural, food, fishing, and forestry sectors, entities affiliated with the Basque Network for Science, Technology, and Innovation (RVCTI), and public entities.
💻 Eligible projects:
Consulting projects to define the company’s Artificial Intelligence and data management strategy: maturity assessment, identification of AI use cases, and a roadmap aligned with business objectives.
Projects aimed at defining and implementing AI and data governance policies, aligned with the current regulatory framework (AI Act, Data Act) and with standards such as ISO 42001 or the UNE standards for data governance and quality, to ensure the ethical, secure, and responsible use of AI.
Projects for the development and implementation of AI solutions focused on prediction, optimization, automation, quality, and assistance in business processes.
💸 Grant intensity: 60% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of 100,000 euros.
⏳ Applications: until November 23, 2026
📑 Purpose: projects that significantly enhance protection, cybersecurity, and operational resilience.
⏳ Funding period: 12 months.
👍🏼 Beneficiaries: industrial companies (individuals or legal entities) or companies in related services linked to industrial products or processes.

Initial assessment: evaluation, audits, staff awareness, etc.
Strategy and Action Plans.
Implementation of solutions and measures: identify, govern, protect, detect, respond, and recover.
Evaluation, Audit, and Certification.

Upcoming calls for grants
⏳ Applications: May 4, 2026, through June 12, 2026
📑 Purpose: To support basic and advanced digitalization projects for businesses in Bizkaia.
⏳ Eligible period: from January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, inclusive.
👍🏼 Eligible entities: companies with their registered office and tax domicile in Bizkaia that operate in the sectors of Industry, Construction, Transportation, Industry-related Services, Tourism, and Wholesale Trade, such that at least one of their activities falls under the CNAE classifications listed in the Annex to the call for proposals (see)
Line 1: companies with a workforce of between 5 and 50 employees

💸 Aid intensity:
Line 1: 50% of external expenses and 10% of investments on eligible expenses, with a maximum aid amount of €25,000
🤝 Compatibility with other aid: This aid is compatible with other grants, subsidies, income, or resources for the same purpose, except if they come from the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
