Salesforce's Winter'25 update comes with major enhancements and new features that revolutionize business process automation and workflows. In this new release, Salesforce reinforces its focus on AI and workflow efficiency, offering more robust and easy-to-use tools to improve user experience and team productivity.
What's new in Winter'25 Salesforce?
Improved error and warning management
Salesforce incorporates a substantial improvement in its side panel of warnings and errors. It will warn of any possible problems with a more detailed analysis, and all this prior to the activation of the flow.
Thank you Salesforce!
New resource selector
Developers and team administrators had long been asking for a change in the user experience of the flows. Winter '25 allows multiple selection in the option search fields instead of one, resembling a standard search component. These new built-in navigation and labeling facilities will help improve performance.
Keyboard shortcuts
If we talk about performance and productivity improvement. We must talk about instant keyboard actions. An update that allows administrators to speed up work with keyboard shortcuts such as:
> Undo: Ctrl/Cmd + Z
> Redo: Ctrl/Cmd + Y
> Save as: Shift + Ctrl/Cmd + S
Design and efficiency tips
With this new Winter'25 update, the flow editor will be our new "senséi". Salesforce offers usage tips to generate a good flow architecture to maintain a consistent design and avoid major errors.
If this is interesting... with Winter 25 you will have at your disposal the Einstein 1 Beta, which will be of great help for the elaboration of simple flows by means of natural language indications. Don't hesitate to enable it!
"Upsert" in the creation of records
The new jewel in the crown. This could be considered one of the biggest advances in terms of data management, no more reinventing the wheel to be able to differentiate between record creation and update. From now on it will be possible to specify a foreign key in those DML operations declared in the flow.
Increasing the number of recipients in mailings
The flows represent a significant advance in processes that require the sending of e-mails, allowing an important agility in their development. In the previous version, only 5 recipients were allowed per mailing, but in this new Winter'25 version, all those companies with "Unlimited Edition" will have the limit increased to 150 recipients.
Formula generation using AI and natural language
Einstein 1 Beta deserves recognition. This time Winter'25 comes to lend a hand with the elaboration of formulaic resources. Take advantage and describe in natural language the message and let Einstein work for you.
Data transformation
The first steps were already taken in Winter 24, a year later, this optimization in data transformation and mapping has taken a leap forward, allowing the use of primitive data types (text, number, date) in the target resource, which greatly simplifies manipulation.
Example: query the number of open opportunities that a sales manager has, and transform this data collection into a numerical resource, without the need to traverse the collection.
Disable fields
One of the main headaches of any consultant, how am I going to control user iterations?
This time the flows will allow us to have more control in its visual layer, being able to control when to disable fields such as dependent selection list, search, telephone... With this we will get closer to an optimal user experience and according to the business needs of our customers.
With each update Salesforce brings a lot of improvements and many of them can escape us, that's why from PKF Attest we wanted to share with you a summary of the highlights in relation to the flows.
And now it is time to apply it.
