The Artium Museum in Vitoria-Gasteiz was the setting for the presentation of the Basque Alliance for the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) signed by 55 companies, including PKF Attest, to collaborate in the development of the 2030 Agenda.
The objective of this Basque Alliance is to strengthen collaboration between Basque institutions and social agents with a common goal: to join forces for the development of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, coordinating the efforts and resources of social agents to achieve a positive and sustainable impact in the thematic areas covered by the SDGs.
The public presentation of this alliance was attended by the Basque President himself and Jonan Fernández, Secretary General for Social Transition and Agenda 2030. The declaration For a Social Contract Agenda 2030 Euskadi sets out five commitments from which five practical implications are derived, which, synthetically formulated, are as follows:
- Strengthen collaboration among social organizations and between these and the institutions.
- Implement the SDGs in the internal management and operation of companies and organizations.
- Disseminate and promote the 2030 Agenda and encourage citizen participation and involvement.
- Promote the principles of solidarity and sustainability as the foundation of the 2030 Agenda.
- To model the Basque experience and promote its exchange at the international level.
