Over the past three years, PKF Attest has had the privilege of working closely with the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa in the development and strengthening of the Zaintza Herri Lab project. This initiative is a strategy promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Basque Government and supported by Next Generation funds, which aims to transform local care models through the creation of local care ecosystems. The project aims to achieve the personalization of care, socio-health coordination and promote community care by integrating innovative solutions for a fairer, more accessible and sustainable care system.

Recently, the project has been awarded the first prize at the Basque Country level in the Quality Innovation Awards (QIA) 2024, in the "Innovation" category. This recognition underlines the relevance of the strategies implemented to improve social welfare through community collaboration and sustainable care management at the local level.
The project has also been awarded the first prize at the State level in the Quality Innovation Awards (QIA) of the year 2024 in the category of best innovation in the public sector and is a finalist in the International category, which will be decided in the coming weeks.
These achievements place Gipuzkoa and its model of Local Care Ecosystems as a reference in the field of social innovation in Spain.
