Llodio is a municipality located in the province of Alava, in the autonomous community of Euskadi. It is the second most populated municipality of Alava, with 18 000 inhabitants. The City Council has chosen PKF Attest for the management of the Internal Information System.
The challenges of the project
The City Council of Laudio/Llodio, as a Local Entity, must comply with the obligations of Law 2/2023, both for its organization and for the municipal Euskaltegi. For this purpose, it has entrusted PKF Attest.
With the project the City Council of Llodio/Laudio aims to implement:
> Principle of good faith.
> Principle of confidentiality.
> Principle of Independence and Impartiality.
The project: implementing a solution to manage infractions
Law 2/2023, dated February 20, aims to protect those who report infractions or irregular conduct within their professional environment. To this end, it establishes measures that guarantee their safety and prevent any type of retaliation, thus promoting a more transparent and secure environment.
Protective measures:
> Confidentiality: Confidentiality of the informant's identity is guaranteed.
> Prohibition of retaliation: Sanctions are established for those who retaliate against whistleblowers.
> Reporting channels: Internal and external channels should be implemented to facilitate the reporting of violations.
mideNet
In response to this need, PKF Attest will implement mideNet, an agile solution that facilitates the monitoring of strategic milestones, indicators and projects. Through its Complaints Channel module, the City Council of Laudio/Llodio will be able to quickly and securely manage the information received.
With this project, the City Council of Laudio/Llodio seeks to promote a more agile and solid management of the information received.
Digitization:
The law is committed to streamlining and simplifying the reporting process through the use of digital channels that are accessible, secure and easy to use.
Guarantees confidentiality:
A key objective of the standard is to protect whistleblower data, and digitization helps preserve their identity and reduce the risk of retaliation.
Improve complaint management:
The implementation of digital processes facilitates a more agile and transparent follow-up.
Project success
More than an operational issue, at PKF Attest we believe that the real success of the project lies in facilitating compliance with Law 2/2023 and streamlining the management of infractions in a simple way and with the minimum impact, thanks to the management of training by third parties, through the mideNet solution.
